Robert has been going up to this pub, Crown & Sceptre on Tuesday nights with our neighbors Andy and Mel for Jazz night. They usually walk up around 8:30 and are home around 10:30 and Robert says that they are the babies of the bar by many a decade! He said even the band members are all in their 70's. But they have a great time and it's great for him to have some time for himself. Anyways, we had been being coaxed by Andy to come there on Sunday's for Sunday dinner and finally made it. We meet Andy after lunch and the food was very good. Interesting though, there are only 3 things to choose from! Either chicken, beef roast or lamb and you get the same sides with each of the meals! Hilarious! This is actually the standard meal in England and you get it everywhere you go!
The pub is also hilarious. These candles on the tables have been there forever and they just keep adding new candles to the top and use the dripping was as "decor"! If they see you messing with the was you get a scolding!
There are also bedpans hanging from the ceiling! 100's of them!
And sure am thankful for this wood burning fireplace because it's pretty cold in here!
