A Little Boy's Dream!

Ethan Jay LOVES remote control toys.  For his birthday he received a remote control car from our neighbors and a remote control airplane from his Grandma.  I am sad to say that we are just getting him out to fly it.  Although, I will say it has the tiniest screw to open up for the batteries and we had to specially look for a screwdriver that would fit it.  Anyways we finally got it ready and we headed out the door, just a few months late!

He had a blast and loved flying it, after he got the hang of it!

The thing does not hover very well.  It just goes up, up and away!

What's this sad face about, waiting and hoping that he get's his airplane back!  It went up and over the building and Robert was off to fetch it.

Yep, there Dada is, to the rescue, up on top of the roof!

And again on the side of the hill.
Actually these were not the only two times and luckily, I mean sadly the charge ran out and we had to go back inside.  Hopefully all goes better next time!

The girls were so cute though.  They got a small turn, but Ehan Jay kept a pretty tight reign on it when we had it so they just hung out mostly and of course they are stink'in adorable!

Looking out at the bay talking about all of the boats they see.

Such sweet sisters.  I love seeing their friendship blossom!

And my lion tamer!

N is for Name

This week we studies Letter N for Name and Jesus naming His disciples.  We did a lot of activities with our names including these yummy cookies and we also made rainbow names with markers an cut our name out of playdoh.  We have also been practicing singing our names so that Emma Ann and Evie Kaye can learn to spell theirs.  We also spent a good deal of time discussing Jesus choosing his disciples and what a privilege and honor that was.

Our Little Band!

The kids decided to play a little music and it could not have been more beautiful and loud!

This girl can play some harmonica!  She is actually quite good at it and serenaded us all day!

Gotta have a little triangle!

And nothing beats a marching band!

The Rocket, or the perfect gift for all!

We had chosen a rocket to send to a cousin for their birthday and Ethan Jay was a little sad that we sent it off in the mail because, well, he wanted his very own rocket.  While at the pos-office up in Croughton mailing it, we received a package with some Christmas presents and Ethan Jay oddly enough received this rocket from his Aunt Terry and Uncle Jerry!  It could not have come at a more perfect time!  Loved it!  They ALL had a blast (get-it!) with it, even that big kid!

Loved this action shot, even if it is blurry.

Our neighbors dog, Scone even set one of the rockets off!  Yep, the big kids at it again!

The Cary Arms

Robert and the kids had been down to The Cary Arms several times but I had yet to go so it was a decent day out and we headed down.  It is a restaurant with some cottages to rent at the bottom of the steep and windy beach road that we live on.  We took some paths to get down and it was beautiful.

A beautiful gate along our walk

My people

Just perfect, a beautiful garden (what they call a yard!) And the coolest tire swing just through this beautiful archway!

Down another path

She and kitty were singing a song on our journey!

Down some steps

Look at that view!

And were there!

We went out onto the patio and waterfront while we waited on our food.
I bet this place is going to be packed in the summer.

The pier always has a few fishermen.

There was a beautiful little cove perfect for climbing on rocks.

My little sweetie

Emma Ann has no problems making friends and these two were the cutest together!

We headed back and had a scrumptious lunch.  I had a burger and Robert and the kids had fish and chips.  All soooo delicious!

They had their own little candies.  Too cute!

And our walk back up!  Of course this Momma was pulling up the rear!

How I love thee and how I love that they love one another!

Signs of spring!

Date Night to the Theatre

For Robert's birthday I got him tickets to a comedy variety show at the Babbacombe Theatre that is just up from our house.  Literally you can see it from our kitchen and living room window and if you have the windows open, you can hear them practicing.  So we got Granny Jeanine to come over and headed up.  The show was great and it was even better spending some time with just Robert and not having 8,000 other things to be concentrated on.

Stuff

It seems like the day's fly by here.  Full of all the small nothingness that is really all the sweet moments in life.  Things that tug at my heart and wish that I can hold on to forever.  That's why I take so many pictures.  It seems with so much going on I forget so many of those moments and I love looking back and having those moments captured in time.  And not just the good stuff either.  I want to remember the trials and hard places we have been and see how God has worked in us and in that situation to pull us out on the other side, stronger and more in Him.

Love this mess of a beehive!  This is what it looks like most mornings and we have to will a brush through it!

The oddest part is that the front is almost straight!

My little pirate!
Thought up and created all by himself!

Good food, BBQ sandwich with slaw on a homemade bun!  Sweet and tangy bbq sauce for my belly and my soul!

A great card game.

 And a blanket tent!

for two princesses!

Does it really get better than this!
Only in Heaven!

Baby Blocks

I made a few sets of these baby blocks for a few special babies that we know.  I had was super excited about them and they turned out so cute.  I also made a little bag for them to go in.

Love, love love the elephant print!

And i put a zigzag stitch across the top of the bag, so cute!
