August in the Wolf Den!

My how these little ones change. It is amazing the growth in both Ethan Jay and Emma Ann that occur on a daily basis.
Ethan Jay is greatly improving with his speech and we hear him say new words each day. He is also busy as ever and wants to help with everything. If Robert or I am doing something, so is he! He is also the best big brother! He adores his little sister and loves to "help" her do things and show her how things work.
Emma Ann is as sweet as ever and her personality is really shining through. She knows what she wants and "enthusiastically" let's you know both verbally and physically. She has for sure added a joyous energy to our family!

A new fav, building tents! This brings back so many memories from my childhood!

We are trying to get Emma Ann used to drinking from a bottle. She will take a little sip but that is about it so we try and put reallly yummy stuff in it to entice her!

Watch out for the stair-master!

Emma Ann has just discovered that she can get on the riding toys all by herself. She thinks she is sooooo cool and loves to push the buttons and hear the music.

Hot Mess! Dress falling off and playing in the toilet! It's a good thing she is so cute!

How sweet is this! Brother and Sister rolling the ball back and forth! I love it when I see their sharing hearts!

Emma Ann needed a sip of Momma's water.

So did Ethan Jay.

And let's not forget the Dada!

Love how she makes herself comfortable!

Pregnant Momma NEEDED some chocolate chip cookies so my two favorite men baked some for me! Too sweet, literally! Nope, just right!

Yummy!

Nothing like a girls purse!

A think were getting somewhere!

Pretty awesome! I find a new infastructure everyday!

Dinner with Family!

Robert's sister, Terry and her husband, Jerry (middle couple) came in to town and we had an amazing evening out to dinner with them and Robert's brother Art and his wife Chris. We got a sitter and met them down in San Diego for a fantastic dinner and even better company! It was so good to be able to see them all and spend some well needed time with some great adults!

Camping on the Beach!

If you know me, you know that I am not a camping girl. I love animals but do not love creatures. I also love present day amenities! I want good food, a bed and a full service bathroom! So Robert has been pestering me to go camping for sometime and I finally gave in with the stipulation that we would start small. We would have to camp at at location that offered a few amenities (shower house, water, and of course we would be bringing an air mattress!) So we packed up and headed to the San Onofre Beach where they have great campsites right on the ocean! We stayed for two amazing nights and three days. It was such a blessing to see God's beautiful creation without all the distractions of everyday life!

Art, Robert's brother and Ethan Jay by the campfire. Art and his wife Chris stopped by for an evening by the fire roasting marshmallows and some great company!

How amazing is this! Here is our campsite right on the beach! How great to wake up and be able to cook breakfast with this view!

A litttle sandcastle fun!

Ethan Jay loves rocks, so he had an amazing time!

Emma Ann was not afraid of the waves at all! She loved every minute of it.

"Whoa, Whoa, Whoa! I'm not being left out of this!" says Emma Ann

How beautiful!

Brother and Sister playing in the sand! So sweet and cute!

Our evening sunset view!

These two girls were staying at the campsite next to ours and became Ethan Jay's best friends! They had so much fun playing in the sand, playing with the wind frisbee and even jump roping with sea weed!

Emma Ann ~ 10 months old!

I think her brother helped her with her do! Still as sweet as can be and growing like a weed! She eats everything in sight and I have to watch her like a hawk! She of course wants to do these things that I am doing but it is a must to do what her brother does! What a precious gift!

Jaelyn's 3rd Birthday!

Cousin Jaelyn had her 3rd birthday party at a park and it could not have been more fun! The splash pad and play equipment were a hit with the kids! It was great to see family and friends and help celebrate such a sweet little blessing!

Ethan Jay enjoying the ladder.

And the water gun!

Emma Ann enjoying the slide, thoroughly!

The Circus is in town!

The circus was coming to town and we decided to treat the kids and ourselves! It was such a blast with all of the music, animals and acrobatics. All four of the kids loved it! This was taken right after the event. It was a little hot in there!

Look at the joy on his face! Definitely makes it all worth it! This was the opening act and he was glued until the very end!

Ethan Jay's loot! Sister seems pretty entertained too!

"Wow!" says Emma Ann!

Garden Update

Our garden has been doing great! We have gotten corn, green beans and lot's of tomatoes and peppers so far. Our broccoli also turned out great but I wasn't sure if it was ready and left it a bit longer and then it died. Lesson learned! Our artichokes keep getting eaten up with ants but our asparagus is doing great but I realized it takes two years to mature. Here is a picture from our tomato crop. We can't eat them fast enough and I have had to give them to neighbors! So delicious!

Emma Ann hanging out while Ethan Jay and I work in the garden. So grateful for her content moments!

My little helper!

Look at these! I can't believe we grew our very own potatoes and carrots!

Our yummy roast beef with our goods from the garden. So cool! Ethan Jay was really excited to eat the meal and he helped prepare it!

The Big Red Barn Playdate

A friend invited us along with her Mom's group to go to "The Big Red Barn." It is a really cool petting zoo. Ethan Jay really enjoyed all of the animals and unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of Emma Ann.

I can't believe how friendly this tortoise was. It was eating the food right out of your hand!

He couldn't get enough of the guinea pigs. He thought they were so cute and didn't want to put them down.

What a great and exciting day with friends!
