April in the Wolf Den!

It was an extremely busy but fun month! We are thankful for all of the oppurtunities that we had this month to spend with friends and to grow ever closer to Christ.

Who's that?

Oh yeah, it's our little explorer, Ethan Jay!

What a pretty little lady!

Who's says your not supposed to let your kids play with plastic bags?

And miss this, no way!

All tuckered out in the Mamason.

Mommy's little baker! By the way, he knows where the mixer is, can go get it, pull it out of the box, assemble it, plug it in and turn it on all by hisself. Little scary, huh!

I think she might have out-grown the swing!

I kept hearing about this teether that is a giraffe and aparently is a hit with the little ones. So it was a bit of a splurge, but little miss chews on everything and we haven't bought her hardly anything so I talked my self into it. I ordered it and it finally arrived today. I was so excited and eager to get it washed up and on to Emma Ann. Well I think she likes it!

Yep, I think it is a hit!

Little girl eat's everything! There is nothing she has tried that she does not like. Okay, well maybe the one thing she is supposed to like, baby food. She will take the first spoonful and quickly let's you know that it is not to her liking and she would like what is on your plate!

So here she is eating sweet potatos that I made for her. It is her favorite of her dislikes (baby food) so she will tolerate a few spoonfuls and then wants what you are eating.

So sweet. Notice the burp cloth he needed to put on his shoulder before he could hold her.

Ethan Jay loves these crayons, but boy they are a mess to clean off of the non-slip tub bottom.

What can you really say about this! A little intense!

Easter 2011

What precious little ones!

Robert had to work the day and night before Easter but was supposed to get down around 1 am and drive home. Well he ended up not getting done until much later and then needed to sleep for a few hours before he drove home, so needless to say Robert was not there for Easter morning or for joining us for church. A little bummy, but I'm glad he was able to make it home for the rest of the day.

So it's so hard at this age for them to really get what the holiday is about. We read the Easter story several times and constantly talked about Jesus dying on the cross for us and then rising, but I really don't think he gets it. I have these really cute resurrection eggs that tell the story of Easter and is hands on and fun for the kids but he was more interested in rushing through the eggs to see what was in the next one. So hopefully next year he will understand a little bit more about this somber but joyful holiday.

Here Ethan Jay is finding a few prizes in his basket. Emma Ann is still sleeping, so she missed the whole thing! What an odd morning it turned out to be.

Giving Brody a treat out of his basket.

Who's that, a bunny, No, it's Emma Ann!

Ethan Jay egg hunting, again!

Emma Ann taking in all of the festivities!

Dying Eggs

Ethan Jay really enjoyed dying the Easter eggs. He loves helping me in the kitchen so this was right up his alley. I was quite impressed that he did it mostly by himself.

Emma Ann's contribution. Being a good bunny and chewing on a carrot while we worked!

Murrieta Easter Egg Hunt

Our town puts on the cutest egg hunt each year. They have age leveled egg hunts, the Easter Bunny, venders and much more. Robert had to work, but we meet some friends and had a great time!

Ethan Jay showing me all the goodies he found in his basket.

What a sad face! He wanted me to try and blow it back up and I had to explain it was broken. He wasn't very happy about that either.

So, he decided to go chase his friend that still had her balloon.

Looking at the fire fighters nozzles.

Ethan Jay was so excited to ride up in the fire truck.

Emma Ann ~ 6 months old

I can't believe that my baby girl is 6 months old. That's 1/2 of a year. That's crazy! She has grown and changed so much and has added such sweet joy and blessings to our family. It's hard to believe that she's 6 mos. old but it's also hard to imagine our family with out her. Ethan Jay still loves her as much as ever and it is so sweet to see the relationship starting to develop between brother and sister. My baby girl is growing up way too quickly!

Can you get more precious!?!?

Ethan Jay Horseback Riding Lessons

Ethan Jay took horseback riding lessons for six weeks and loved every second of it. He really loves all animals and had no fear, even of the very big horses! They started each week with a bucket full of carrots that they went around the farm and feed the horses with. Then we practiced riding the horse and all of the different positions on big barrels. Then the children went and took turns riding a big vaulting horse. The first turn was slow while they did the moves, then the second turn was faster. Then at the end of the lesson, they got to go brush a little pony. So much fun!

Here he is riding Ted. This is the owner of the farm, Mr. Russell.

He is turned around backwards holding his arms out, practicing balance. Ted is a vaulting horse and the older children do amazing shows while riding on his back. Pretty cool!

Here is Zack, their minature pont that the children got to brush at the end of each lesson. He was so sweet and calm while he had several children around him banging him with brushes.

Ethan Jay and Ava, bestest of friends!

Here is a video that I took, enjoy, but keep in mind that I took it on my regular camera while holding Emma Ann and while turning round in circles. So I guess it didn't turn out too bad!

Easter Egg Hunt at Mrs. Joy's

We were invited over to one of my friend's house for an Easter egg hunt and party. There was lot's of yummy food, friends and of course egg hunting!

Emma Ann going to town on a piece of celery. So cute sitting up in the Bumbo seat.

Ethan Jay hunting for eggs. Doesn't seem much of a hunt!

What sweet little one's, even though I'm the only one looking.

Park Day

We had an amazing day at the park and Emma Ann is following suit of her brother and loves the swing. This was her first swing ride and couldn't get enough!

Too cute, I couldn't resist!
