Underwater Explorer

Ethan Jay had seen some people diving under the water, so he created his own deep sea diving gear and was swimming in our living room!

Dada's Home!

Robert has been gone for six long weeks, and we are so glad to have him back home.
We have done stints of time without him, but this was by far the most trying.  He left when Evie Kaye was only 3 weeks old and of course not sleeping through the night so Mommy got very little sleep.  I am so forever grateful to all of our visitors to help the time go by a little more quickly and of course for all of the extra hands!

Enjoying some nice snuggle time and reading books before bed.

Ant's on a log, Yea or Nay?

So who like's ant's on a log?
I had never had them before but thought it would be something fun for Ethan Jay to make.  He loved spreading the peanut butter on his logs and ever so carefully lining up his ants.
Then he took a bite.  I must say it was not the nicest look that spread across his face.
So, I tried it.  I had to work really hard to not have a similar look on my face!
Definitely not a snack for me and I guess not for Ethan Jay either.
Maybe we will give it another go in the future.

A little bit later, he saw me get out the peeler to peel some carrots and he said, "I can do that Momma!"
So I let him have it and he did a great job!  I have also found that he loves to grate things as well.
Such a handy helper!

Yep, look at those nice long peels!

Evie Kaye ~ 9 weeks old

Evie Kaye turned 9 weeks old today and just in time for Dada to come home so he could kick her out of her bed.  She had been sleeping propped up on his pillow but she had to be moved to the bassinet when he came home.  Here she is sleeping for the first night in the bassinet.

Okay, so the flash woke her up!

Here is a picture of Evie Kaye from when Robert was leaving.   She was 3 weeks old here.  Look at how much she has changed and grown!

Evie Kaye ~ 2 months old, Emma Ann ~ 17 months old

My two little girls!  Growing up more and more each day.
Emma Ann REALLY loves her sister and I have to really monitor her with the baby.  She is still as vibrant as ever and stills screams to let you know how she feels; happy, sad, excited, frustrated, tired and of course angry!  Robert and I often discuss what she will be like when she is 3 and 16!  She loves to play outside and of course anything that her brother is doing!  She is also a talker.  She says new words and phrases each day.  We finished a book the other day and she said "The End", then later on that evening, after saying the blessing at dinner she said "Amen."  We love watching her grow and shine.  We are forever grateful to the Lord for His blessing of this sweet little girl.
Evie Kaye is of course a darling little pumpkin.  She's cute and cuddly and happy and plump.  It doesn't get better than that in baby world!  Each day her personality shines through a little more.  We are so excited to see her blossom into a little person who is full of love.  She loves to snuggle and of course eat!  Did I mention that she weighed 14 lbs. 5 ozs.  at her two month appointment.   Yep, the doctor even called to confirm after we got home because she thought that the nurse must have written that down wrong!  We love every square inch of her!

Emma Ann really loves to give her sister love!

And more hugs!

And another kiss!

Ethan Jay getting some snuggle time with baby sister.

Emma Ann being her cute self!

I think she has some treasure in her plastic bag.
And I think that that is Annie on t.v.!

Interesting fact about our family, we have Dada, Mama, Brother, Sister and Baby Sister.  Were almost like the Bernstein Bears!  What's going to happen when we add another little one to the bunch!

We Have Eggs!

I can't believe it.  When I returned home today, I took a look and yep, 4 beautiful eggs!
What an amazing sight!

Our plants are growing!

Here are just a few of the seeds that sprouted and are growing.  Pretty cool!  Can't wait to plant them in the ground and reap all of the yummy rewards!

Visit with G.G.

After lunch, we decided to visit G.G. at school.  My little one's had never been there before so this was very special to be able to share this with them.  I spent so much time here growing up.  I even weathered through Hurricane Hugo here! Almost everything is the same, except for those beautiful murals on the walls, those were not there when I went to school there!

G.G. with all of her grands!

I've heard there's nothing sweeter than a granddaughter!

The dish pit and the start of the serving line.
I distinctly remember walking into the cafeteria, going through the line fixing my tray and then taking it to the dish pit when done.

The kids were getting a little restless, so we headed outside for a little playtime.

Evie Kaye was a little tuckered out.

Ethan Jay with rocks in his shirt.
He gets out of the car and immediately starts hunting for rocks.
I have to check Roberts pockets for money, pens and paper;
I have to check Ethan Jays for rocks and coins!

Brauck Allen with a bat that I'm not sure where it came from!

Bennie following suit with the rocks!

Emma Ann decided to sit down in the rock and make rock angels with her legs.
She also did this at my Mom's which has been lot's of entertainment and clothes washing!

Picture with Grandma and her Great-Grands (minus Kaylee).
G.G. bribed them with a green slushy!

Such a great day full of family and old and new memories!

Lunch with Fayth

We decided to go and have lunch with Fayth at Antonio's and it was of course, very yummy!
Lacie with Bennie and Brauck Allen and Mr. Art and Mrs. Linda meet us there.
It was a nice lunch being able to visit and the children were all surprisingly well behaved, or so I thought.
I guess not though, we were sitting in the back and Fayth came back and said, "This guy just asked me if a circus was going on back here?!?!"  Of course she kindly told him that it was her sister's and her nephews and nieces and we were just fine!

The sister and all the kids!

Grandma and Grandaddy relaxing at lunch with Evie Kaye.

Visit to the Farm

The kids love going to visit the farm and all of the family to give them love.

Papa T. giving Evie Kaye sweet love.

Meme bragging to Papa T. that she had already gotten love the day before and he had missed out!

Caleb loves to hold the baby, she seems to be pretty happy with the situation.

Grandma getting some love.

Ethan Jay helping Uncle Lenoir build the chicken coop.  He was handing him the nails as he needed them and did not want to leave.  Meaning a tantrum followed as I drug him away.

Emma Ann wondering how friendly those cows are!

She decided with Momma's help they were just fine.

Caleb and Ethan Jay enjoying the "scooper," probably a more technical term for it!

Grandma teaching Ethan Jay about her favorite childhood past-time, throwing rock bombs and watching them explode apart when they land!

Dinner at G.G.'s

After J.T.'s birthday party we headed back to my Mom's.  The kids were exhausted with very little naps that  day.  This is what Emma Ann did when we got home, which if you know her, is extremely unusual.  She usually only snuggles with me for just a few minutes before she lays down for nap or bedtime.  In between you can usually count out any snuggles or hugs and she only gives shuggies to the baby.  It was oh so sweet how she layed their with her G.G. and was just so calm and relaxed.

Auntie Fayth getting some love from Evie Kaye on her 8 week old birthday!

Oh this brings back such sweet wonderful memories for me.  I spent just as much time down in the game room of my parents house when I was growing up as I did any other room.  Countless hours of playing pool,  roller skating around the pool table, playing the piano or just watching t.v..  When I was little my Daddy had a pool stick cut down so that it would be just my right size.  It was so sweet to see the boys up their playing.   They played with the toys (the barn was from when I was young), rolling the pool balls around and of course  it wouldn't be complete without a little melody on the piano.  The most surprising thing was that they were actually doing a pretty good job on the piano, not just a lot of banging trying to make noise.  So exciting to be able to share these special traditions with the next generation.

Teresa and Davey stopped by and Davey had to get a little love.

We had yummy spaghetti for dinner and as you can see Emma Ann definitely enjoyed it!

Yep, must be good!

So, I believe this little pout was because his noodles were cut and he couldn't twirl them on his fork.  I must say Emma Ann is screechy and tempermental.  Ethan Jay is oh so very emotional.  His feelings can get hurt very easily and when things aren't exactly the way that he expected (which you never really know what he is expecting because it changes!) then the melt downs begin.  He has such a tender but oh so big a heart and can't wait to see him grow with the plans that God has for his life.
