We were staying outside of Aberdeen in a town called Banchory and there was the greatest railroad there. They are all old trains that were not in commission anymore and volunteers have come together to restore them and build new tracks to take passengers along! It's called the Royal Deeside Railroad and we had an amazing time! Truly a dream come true for a 5 year old boy!

Right across the street (and down a beautiful mile long driveway!) is Crathes Castle. It was gorgeous inside but we weren't allowed to take photos, bummer. The really neat thing about most of the castles is that they have activities for the kids to do along the tour of the house. At this castle they were each given a clipboard and had to find either a little plastic Lady or a knight (about one per room) and find the matching one on their paper and right their name down. It was super great, because it not only kept them engaged and entertained but it also kept their little hands busy and not touching every single thing in the castle!
They did have a few windows open upstairs and we were able to take pictures looking out. The views were amazing!
This sweet boy is changing more each day! He does not like to sit back anymore, the moment you put him down, he tries to sit himself up!
The kids loving our addition on to the caravan! This tent has proved to be well worth the hassle of putting it up! When raining out, the kids can still go out and play and stretch their legs a bit, which is much needed!

When we told Andy and Amber that we were going on this trip, he went out and bought the kids this game for us to take on the trip. It is called swing ball and is a very popular family game here in England. The kids had a blast with it and we were able to take it from campsite to campsite for hours of entertainment!
